Education in New Zealand is based on Levels – from Level 1 to 10.
The 10 levels of Higher Education and their corresponding Qualification are mentioned below.

- Tuition Fee:
Undergraduate students – NZD 14,000 to NZD 19,000 pa (approx)
Post graduate programs – NZD 12,000 to NZD 20,000 pa - Living Expenses:
NZD 15,000 for one year.
There are two major intakes
- Main Intakes – : February and September
- Other Intakes – : May, July, November
Private Institutes may have different Intakes for different courses. Practically there is an intake every month in some or the other institution resulting in recruitment throughout the year.
The eligibility to Study in New Zealand is very simple, all you need to do is score good marks in your previous academics and Language Proficiency Tests
IELTS
- Undergraduates – IELTS minimum score required is 6.0 and no bands below 5.5
- Post graduates – IELTS Academic minimum score required is 6.5 and no bands below 6.0
TOEFL
- Undergraduate – a score of 80 (min 21 in Writing) is the overall minimum requirement
- Postgraduate – English language entrance requirement is 90 overall (min 21 in Writing)
Pearson Test of English (PTE)
- The language test is accepted by entire New Zealand Universities, Visa, Polytechnics and Private Institutions.
- PTE consists of 2 types – Academic and General.
- Another benefit is that the exam is also accepted in all the visa categories for New Zealand immigration.
