There are two types of IELTS exams : Academic and General. As per the name, the Academic is for those who want to study abroad and General is for those going for business, PR purposes, Immigration Employment, work migration.
Writing
Duration: 60 minutes
The writing section consists of two tasks
Task 1: it will ask to analyse, explain and compare the given data to evaluate the writing skills of the student.
Task 2: Will check the efficiency of the student in writing an essay on a specific general topic.
Speaking
Duration: 11 – 14 Minutes
IELTS result is Valid for Two Years only.
The IELTS score ranges from 1-9 for each module. The average produces your overall band score.
IELTS General Training
Listening and speaking components are same for both – Academic and General Training.
It consists of three sections. The texts in these sections are taken from notices, advertisements, leaflets, newspapers, instruction manuals, books or magazines. The language and difficulty level of these texts is higher as compared to Academic.
